We took an impromptu trip over Labor Day weekend to see Marie, an old college friend and her family who live near Galveston, Texas. Here's how much our kids love the beach: Senya likes playing in the sand (at a considerable distance from the water; she's not too much of a fan of water that moves more than pool water) and Ivan who loves everything and everyone all the time.
